Hi Everyone
Hope you had a good April! May is much quieter than April or June, so enjoy the calm.
No planet changes direction in May. Saturn and Pluto continue to move in retrograde motion, coming closer together as this happens. Saturn will remain in Libra (11-12 degrees) and Pluto, of course, is in Capricorn (7 degrees).
Sun and Moon
The Sun moves into Gemini (an air sign) on May 21st. Gemini likes to explore all there is. Often called the jack of all trades, master of none, Gemini’s endless curiosity wants to take in as much as possible of the smorgasbord of earth plane experiences. He doesn’t stay with any one thing very long — afraid that he will miss something. After the 21st the energy may feel flitty, flighty, and non-centered. Welcome to Gemini!
The new Moon at 12 degrees Taurus occurs at 2:51 a.m. on May 3rd. Taurus is the most earthbound of all the signs and the Moon really likes being in Taurus. So it will be a nice couple of days on the emotional front. The Full Moon occurs on May 17th at 7:09 a.m. at 26 degrees Scorpio. Emotions may run very deep at this time and some emotions may not be too pretty! 🙂
Other Planetary Activities
Mercury and Venus both move into Taurus on May 15th within an hour of each other. It means that their orbit is very close together. Venus “rules” Taurus (meaning she really likes to be in this sign). Taureans process information through their senses, so bubble bath (scented, of course), chocolate, fluffy bathrobes and stability will be favored. Mercury does NOT like being in slow moving Taurus, however, it’s good to slow Mercury down some and look before we leap. (Mercury “rules” Gemini.) It also means that our thought processes (Mercury) and the sensual side of our love nature (Venus) will work very well together for the rest of May. Mars also moves into Taurus a little earlier (May 11). The god of war and symbol of male energy is not at all pleased to be slowed down and softened by Venusian energy. He may try to team up with Mercury as an ally to move things along faster. Beware however when Taurus gets angry — the bull (symbol for Taurus) in the china shop comes to mind. Slow burn and then explosion. So folks with planets in the other Earth signs (Virgo and Capricorn) and other fixed signs (Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) will be most affected by this trio of planets in Taurus energy. It will be a good time to SLOW DOWN and enjoy the beauty of Mother Earth as she fully moves into spring. Of course, as these guys (Mercury, Venus and Mars) move through Taurus they’re going to work very easily with Pluto — an easy time for deep seated transformation for those who work with the energy. In any event, the Bull will work with Pluto to stick to the transformations already begun.
Enjoy May! June begins with a solar eclipse at 11 degrees Gemini and moves forward from there with lots of celestial doings.
Always keep in the mind that the stars impel, they don’t compel.
Peace,
Margaret
