Astro Doings July 2011

Hi Everyone

Hope you all had a good June and enjoyed the celestial doings.  July will be much quieter, although it begins with a solar eclipse that I wrote about in June.  Here’s what I wrote then, in case you’ve forgotten — or don’t want to remember! 🙂

Solar eclipse on July 1:  This eclipse closes the Cardinal T-Square and makes it a Cardinal Grand Cross in the heavens. Sun and Moon are opposite Pluto in Capricorn, square Saturn in Libra and Uranus in Aries. Anyone with any planet(s) from 6 to 12 degrees in any sign will be impacted. I doubt there are too many people out there without some planet in that degree range.  OK. So what does this mean?   Hide under the bed?  Not really, because the effect of this eclipse will be about a year and a half. So, Saturn talks about taking responsibility; Uranus awakens and rebels, destroying that which is outmoded; Pluto helps us deal with our fears and insecurities and shines light in hidden places; and Sun/Moon in Cancer help us to get in tune with our nurturing, physic and feminine side. The last time Uranus and Pluto were in close aspect like they are now was in the 1960’s. Remember what a calm and relaxing period that was?  This eclipse represents the start of a long period of transformation and a gateway to higher consciousness for everyone. However, it may look like chaos for awhile and some aren’t big on this new gateway — they’re kinda into the status quo (think big business). But chaos and change are what Uranus rules. It’s a wonderful time to cut away what is no longer working for you — and in that change, you will indeed change the world.

Other Doings in July

Uranus: joins Neptune and Pluto in retrograde motion on July 9 at 8:36 p.m. He’ll be at 5 degrees Aries at the time.  Anyone with planets from zero to 10 degrees in Leo, Sagittarius, Cancer, Capricorn or Libra will be affected by this change of direction.  Basically the planet stops and pulses at these degrees, so you’ll get an extra charge of Uranian energy — time for the inner upheavals that bring about outer changes.  Aries is on a quest for Self — used in its highest expression.  It can also mean that people may seem more in your face than usual. . . .

The Sun: enters Leo, the sign it rules on July 23rd, so it’s a real happy dude.  Creativity and children (of mind, body, spirit) are Leo’s themes, also unworthiness and a quest for the divine.  The other fire signs (Aries and Sagittarius) will find it easy to express themselves as well.

The Full Moon:  occurs on July 15th at 22 degrees Capricorn.  I think we may continue to see structures that we thought were permanent continue to show their weaknesses.  Emotions may be more subdued or controlled, as Capricorn balances the Cancerian tendency to be overrun by them. Balance is the key.

The New Moon:  occurs on July 30 in Leo.

Enjoy the relative calm of July.  August looks busy!

Peace,

Margaret
